Meet The Team
We are a family team with over 25 years of real estate experience in the Portland Metro area. As Portland natives and enthusiasts, we enjoy the beauty Portland has to offer. We take pleasure in the abundant offerings of incredible restaurants, vibrant neighborhood communities and activities provided by Mt. Hood, the Willamette Valley wine country, Columbia River Gorge, and the Oregon Coast.
Proudly licensed in the state of Oregon with Windermere Realty Trust.
A graduate of Lincoln High School, Christy MacColl earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Stanford University in 2000. Christy excelled as a scholarship Division I Track & Field athlete and also in the classroom where she was named to the Pac-10 All-Academic Team all four years. After honing her business skills as a marketing manager at Danner and LaCrosse Footwear, in 2007, Christy partnered with her mother, Claudia McNeil, and joined her established real estate practice. She has been awarded the Portland Monthly Magazine’s “Five Star Real Estate” award every year since its inception in 2011 and also holds an Earth Advantage S.T.A.R. Certification. Christy enjoys participating in and spectating at any sport event, trying the many delicious restaurants in the flourishing Portland food scene, and most importantly, spending time with her three young children.
Carrie Gross brings a unique aspect to the team as she had a specialized teaching background before entering real estate. After earning a Masters of Education at the University of Oregon she went on to teach special education and general education for nine years at the elementary level in California’s Piedmont and San Bruno School Districts. After eight years in California, Carrie knew that her heart and her home were back in Portland. She continued teaching in Portland for another year then went on to join her sister, Christy MacColl, in 2012 and has been thriving ever since. With her focused background in teaching and her experience in real estate, Carrie loves to combine her abilities to help her clients achieve their real estate goals. In her free time, you can see Carrie running the trails or playing with her two little kids at the park.
After graduating Lincoln High School, Alex Lacey Sand went on to the University of Oregon where she majored in Business Administration before transferring to Oregon State University to pursue a degree in Merchandising Management and Apparel Design. Alex graduated Magna Cum Laude from Oregon State University and was on the Dean’s List for all three years she attended the University. After putting her degree to use as a Retail Buyer for The Kroger Co., Alex decided it was time for her to follow her passion into a career in real estate. In her free time, Alex enjoys interior design, golfing with her husband and playing with her rescue dog Mia and Molly.
Claudia Lacey McNeil was the founding partner of our real estate team and the proud mother of Christy and Carrie and aunt to Alex. She provided a wealth of knowledge to our real estate team and was always supportive in all of our various real estate transactions. Her professional expertise, from 20 years in the banking industry and 20+ years of real estate, has left a profound impression on our team.
I would recommend Carrie Gross to anyone looking to find a professional, intelligent, educated and dedicated agent. We found Carrie through a friend and we couldn't have been better served. She is very communicative, thorough and incredibly patient. We are relocating to Portland and she worked with our tight timelines without blinking. As first time homebuyers, she walked us through the process and we felt well informed about all of our decisions. She went to bat for us in getting the repairs needed for our new home and negotiated a price that worked for our budget. Her entire team is fantastic too. Her sister and partner Christy came to our tours which was awesome. Shannon who handles so much behind the scenes was also superb. We always felt informed of what was happening and when things needed to get done. Thanks so much! We can't wait to move into our dream home.
Christy MacColl of Realty Trust in Portland, Oregon is one of the rare gems one enters in life. Being a residential real estate broker, even in goods times, is at best difficult. Christy represented us the sale of our second home condo in The Pearl District. We were rarely in Portland during the process. Christy handled all the showings and related issues professionally and seamlessly. We used the moving company she recommended and the consignment store she suggested as well. If Christy could not be involved for a day or two, her associate Carrie Gross filed in graciously . I have developed commercial real estate all my life and admit to be a little testy in real estate transactions. Christy never got flustered or distracted. She helped us sell our condo in five days within one percent of the asking price. All in all, if we purchase another property in Portland, Christy will represent us.

I have disliked every real estate agent I have worked with...except Alex. She was helpful throughout the entire process. I didn't feel "sold" to, and she went above and beyond to get information and push things through. She was also very knowledgeable of the market, and excellent at her job. There are too few people who are good at their jobs these days. This is the kind of agent you would want to get a beer with after you finish closing on your home, which to me, is the ultimate compliment. Keep rockin' it Alex!

Carrie and Christy helped us find our home this year and we highly recommend working with them! We moved from out of state and they went above and beyond to help us narrow down neighborhoods and figure out what we were looking for. The whole team worked with our limited schedule and did an amazing job guiding us through the process of a home. They were friendly, professional and we can't thank them enough!

I worked with Alex Sand and Carrie Gross at Realty Trust and could not have been happier with the experience. We were in a VERY competitive price point which resulted in DOZENS of showings and approximately 10 offers written. Alex and Carrie were always positive and upbeat throughout the process, kept us informed about new listings and were very generous with their time (late evenings and weekends) to try and get us in to new listings quickly before other offers were submitted. They also communicated well with our mortgage broker, Bill Dolan at Guild Mortgage. What really sealed the deal for me was after our 8th or 9th rejection, I reached out to Alex and Carrie and told them that perhaps were should just hang it up. They reached out to other agents within their network and were able to find another agent within their group that had a listing coming on the market that was EXACTLY what we were looking for. They wrote a super competitive offer, drafted a letter to the seller - and despite being the lowest offer of 7, we got our offer accepted! I know we were not a "high dollar" client for them, but we never felt unimportant. My wife and I always felt like they genuinely cared about finding us a great home and making sure we were happy - we never felt pressured to offer on a house we didn't like or anything. It is for that reason that I will never go to anyone else in the future!

Carrie and her team are amazing to work with. Carrie is extremely dedicated to her job and her clients. Her and her team, in the last year, purchased two homes and sold two homes for me. I have never worked with a realtor that is more responsive, and I always felt like she was one step ahead at all times looking out for my needs and wants. Also, they have a great team of assistants that manage the timetables for the purchase and sale so that I was never wondering where I was at in the process. I will use them for all of my real estate needs. Carrie and her team are also the nicest and most energetic group of realtors that I know, it is a joy to work with them.

Working with Alex was amazing. Moving to Portland from Boston it was great to get someone who grew up here to show me places. It was my first home buying experience, and I am very thankful I had Alex to show me the ropes. I knew the type of place I was looking for and my budget, and Alex showed me options in other areas and towns where I would get more for my money. Alex was nice, knowledgeable about everything, and available whenever I needed her. She even took the time to drive me around and explain local spots in the places I was looking. I would 100% recommend her to anyone!
